9 Weeks & Counting

We’re having a baby! (In case you didn’t already know šŸ˜‰)

Today I’m sharing my thoughts with 9 weeks to go… (+/- a few, I know babies have their own timeline).

I feel a little unprepared for the arrival of our baby girl if I’m being entirely honest.

There still seems to be so many things that ā€œwe needā€ to get and things that are still to be ā€œsortedā€. But I’m doing my best to remind myself that ā€œneedsā€ and ā€œwantsā€ are two very different things.

I’m also reminding myself that nobody is ever 100% prepared for a baby. Are they?

You can read the books, cross off lists, attend classes, and do all of the things you *think* need doing before a baby arrives and even then still feel unprepared.

Realistically I know she needs very little when she arrives. As long as Ben and I have our game plan, bags packed, and trust that we’ll figure it out together… then that’s all that matters.

Thank goodness we have shops around the corner and a strong support system.
This brings me comfort. In no world will we be left stranded and unable to get the last minute ā€œthingsā€ that we’ll undoubtedly forget and we’re also not in this alone.

Here’s to enjoying the countdown to becoming parents while soaking up every minute of being just Ben and Sabrina, too. xx

Sabrina & Ben: We are so very excited for you & the birth of your daughter. My advice to you at this point: Get as rested as you possibly can! You can count on being sleep-deprived after her birth. Love you both to the moon.
