Blogging is something I’ve thought about doing for years but have never “found the time” or “had the right topics to talk about.”
I’ve talked myself out of starting time and time again.
In all honesty I’ve never committed the time to it because I spend too long overthinking what to write about, if anyone will even care, the layout, the grammar, and even the potential return.
However, the time is now. (12 weeks before we welcome a tiny human but that’s a point for another day..)
I’m taking advice from a friend and old colleague of mine (who happens to be an excellent copywriter). He recently sent out an email to his subscribers about “11 things I tell myself before I write” and number 9 hit me like a ton of bricks.
“Write for yourself first”.
And weirdly that was enough motivation to get me started (for real this time).
I don’t mind if 1 person reads this or 100, I don’t mind whether this leads to paid opportunities or whether it ends up as a reflection journal of sorts, I just need to write for myself. Get my thoughts on paper (screen) and find some enjoyment in the process along the way.
So; here we go.
Also, if you’d like to read well put together thoughts from a brilliant writer, sign up to coffee stained letters from Beau and thank me later.
I’ll see you on the next post.

With all the distance between us, I’m glad you decided to blog regularly. It will be so nice to hear your thoughts on motherhood, England, things going on in US and more. I know you’ll enjoy reading it yourself down the road a few years.
